Wrooted were formed for a one off charity gig 13 years ago, we had a great first gig & decided to repeat the performance. Back then we were a trio, and since the entire band came from Wroot, we were named Wrooted!
Wrooted are a 5 piece, all live, upbeat party band (no backing tracks) and our music ranges from The Stones and Beatles though to the Kaiser chiefs, Killers and even the Proclaimers are thrown in for a bit of fun!
By 2001 word had spread locally about Wrooted and as they grew to a 5 piece band they started to work the club circuit around Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. Wrooted have played lots of events including weddings, corporate events , festivals, biker rallys and charity events. Our clients include South Yorkshire Police, Royal Bank of Scotland, Doncaster Chamber of Commerce, St Leger Harley Davidson, Doncaster golf club to name just a few. The venues have been great too; The Royal Armouries at Leeds, Keepmoat Stadium, Doncaster Race Course, Doncaster Dome and various hotels around the UK, even someone’s back garden.
The band consists of: Nick Webb lead vocal / guitar, Darren Walker vocal rhythm / lead guitar, Phil Johns lead guitar, Steve Brown bass guitar, Phil Brown drums & Ady Viles sound & lighting.
They have a great PA and lighting to suit most venues and carry full public liability insurance and P.A.T. tests. If you want a great band for a great occasion.
